My idea is to get out of the routine. The routine can be crazy making- whatever the routine is- if it isn't stepped out of on a regular basis.

It's that way for me too right now—can't settle to anything, don't want to do what needs doing . . . So I've been doing the minimum (fortunately John has taken over cooking supper most days so we aren't reduced to peanut butter sandwiches), playing with the new kittens, and reading. (I'm immersing myself in the Middle Ages. Alibris and Mr. K's Used Books both love me.) I think a lot of mine is the aftermath of a long, hot, miserable summer; now that it's cooler, I am beginning to think about feeling like doing something . . . just not quite yet.

Arranging for everyone on the farm to be taken care of - not to mention the crops that need tending - can be so overwhelming that I put off trips away too, but persevere. Even if the best thing about it is coming home and seeing that everyone survived your absence, it still lifts your spirits. Try to soak up plenty of this fall sun too! (We have sun lamps next to our bed to get us through the long winters without getting too gloomy as well)

We were looking for a cool place for a vacation and Okracoke keeps coming up in a whole lot of conversations I've had. What's makes it a special place for you? I would love to hear your opinion.

Peace

I was just in GRITS today and was browsing thru the scrapbook on Spring Creek School.
Low and behold there was Moonie in a newspaper article sitting in front of Springs Creek School.. I think she must have been about 10..sooo cute! Amazing how fast time flies..the caption said her younger sister was 4? and was too shy for the pic! Gotta love that..:)
