I Got It!

We did get high speed internet—that last post was so fast and easy! I’m also patting myself on the back a little, because I posted every day this month—by far a new record for me. It was kind of hard, but fun—don’t know if I’m going to be able to keep it up, though!

Tansy

Tansy has gone wild here–I probably shouldn’t have ever planted that tiny little bit in the first place. This time of year it’s weedy, but pretty.

Maybe Today?

I know that in the grand scheme of things, having had only dial-up all these years is really not the worst thing that can happen to a person. Admittedly I get a lot done while waiting for things to download, or pictures for my blog to upload. And maybe I’ve learned a little about patience after all these years. But my excitement about getting high speed internet has reached a fever pitch—I feel like I am about to join a club whose doors have been closed to me all this time. A club where people click on links to youtube videos, listen to podcasts, stream music. A club where you don’t have to meticulously get rid of every single ad on a page before it will load. A club where your friends don’t stop talking when you walk in the room, and cast pitying glances your way. (OK, that last was a little overdone, but you get the gist.)

Frontier was supposed to be here Tuesday. They didn’t show. I called and they swore they’d be here Wednesday. They didn’t show Wednesday, either. Now they’ve sworn they’ll be here today. I even got an automated call from them yesterday, reminding me to be here today (maybe I should remind THEM to be here today?) This could be the day.

I’d better run clean the house and make a pitcher of tea for the technician when he gets here! I wonder if I should bake some blueberry muffins….

Duckie Intolerance

We’re having a bit of trouble merging our duck flocks. The 23 Khaki Campbells are absolutely terrified of the 4 Anconas. They spend a lot of their day running and screaming. It’s pitiful, really.
