Ohhh for a greenhouse… We started our pepper seeds yesterday, but they’re hanging out in the kitchen because we are still greenhouse-less. One day!

Oh how I would love to have a winter garden. About the best I can do is cover hardy greens and store them in the ground till November and then start cold hardy greens in cold frames by the end of March. Seeing your greens in January makes me so long for a milder climate. At least our weather is a little more predictable, or maybe we just prepare for the extremes and are pleasantly surprised when it is not miserable. Love reading your posts, Emily

Our winter garden is marginal at best—we have such a hard time getting stuff going in the late summer/fall. The greens in the picture won’t be ready for a couple more weeks.

I like these rare occasions when your plant-based activities get featured here… Gorgeous looking greens by the way. Love ya!
