I have lately gotten completely addicted to Facebook. I think it’s the instant gratification—chatting with friends and constant feedback. This is somewhat embarrassing, and I may have to take steps to remedy the situation!

Thanks for everything, I have no complaints.

Back at the end of September, our spring all but stopped. The spring box itself (the picture of the opening under the tree) almost fills up, but not enough to overflow into the reservoir in the springhouse (the little white building). we’ve had a couple of rains now that have caused it to run again for a day or two, so I have hope that once the rains begin again in earnest the spring will come back.

For now, we’re in good company—seems like everybody in our neck of the woods is driving around with a water tank on the back of their truck!

It’s so cold, so early! 16° this morning—when I went to the porch fridge to bring in some milk, my hand froze to the refrigerator door handle. I’m just not mentally ready.

Here are some pictures from a couple of weeks ago, when we picked up our last load of hay.

My friend George has started a business making cool and very affordable motorized bicycles that get around 150 mpg here in the mountains. Check him out: Lumptown Motorized Bicycles

Pretty cool, huh?
